"Take care of your body.
It's the only place you have to live."
~ Jim Rohn
Massage contributes to overall mental, emotional, behavioral, physical, and spiritual health.
- Stress Relief: Stress is inevitable and our bodies experience the brunt of our emotions. Allowing a professional massage therapist to facilitate physical release of tension in the muscles is relaxing and calming. Becoming aware of the tension we hold in our bodies and sense of relief after a session can also motivate you to develop a more consistent and effective routine of healthy stress related coping skills.
- Self-care: Devoting an hour to hour and half towards wellbeing and relaxation builds one's sense of self-worth, self-confidence, connection with and acceptance of one's body, and overall self-care routine.
- Mindfulness: Massage helps us to be in the present moment...once we sharpen the skill of releasing the need to dwell on the past and worry about the future, we can be fully present in this very moment where all is okay and manageable.
- Physical benefits of massage include strengthened immunity system, improved circulation, increased flexibility, and reduced pain/tightness of muscles.
Massage Services offered:
Swedish massage: The most widely practiced form of massage to promote relaxation and stimulate circulation. This modality is performed with light to moderate pressure of kneading blended with long flowing strokes.
Deep Tissue: Familiar strokes of a Swedish massage with application of a more moderate to deep pressure.
Hot Stone Massage: A soothing moist heat therapy applied with heated stones throughout the treatment. It is an effective way to calm the nervous system and melt away muscular tension. The end result… a unique sense of wellbeing.
Manual Lymph Drainage: Light, rhythmic and non-invasive strokes, which are very helpful in calming our “fight or flight” response to stress, depression, sleeping disorders and trauma. Well known as a complementary adjunct in the treatment of various autoimmune disease and chronic pain syndromes and most notably known for the treatment of lymphedema. This technique stimulates the immune system increasing its ability to diminish the “culprits” toxins and waste involved in there conditions.
Peri-Natal / Postpartum Massage: Uses gentle techniques to help alleviate some of the ailments and discomfort associated with pregnancy; lower back, neck, shoulder pain, fatigue, joint tenderness and stretch marks. Improve circulation, promote stress reduction and relaxation.
Hot Herbal Poultice Massage: An herbal moist heat therapy blended with fragrant essential oils, Swedish, Thai, and acupressure strokes and techniques. Energy flow is restored, the soul renewed.
