Fees and Payment

"We must embrace pain and burn it as fuel for our journey."          ~Kenji Miyazawa

Fees depend on type of service received, length of session, insurance involvement, and practitioner's licensure status and experience.  Sliding fee scale is available for counseling.  Payment is due at time of service, unless other arrangements are made through insurance coverage (more information below).  Since counseling is a time and financial commitment, it is important that you feel comfortable with the therapist you choose.  In this regard, an initial phone consultation can be scheduled so that you may ask any questions before beginning the counseling process.

Method of Payment
Payment can be made in the form of cash, check (made payable to Monarch Therapy, LLC), and major credit cards-Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express.

Insurance
Please note that insurance companies typically require a mental health diagnosis to be assigned which remains part of your permanent medical record, and they may request all or part of your mental health record for payment purposes. They also often limit the number of sessions that will be covered.  If you are interested in reimbursement from your insurance company, contact them directly regarding your plan's coverage and reimbursement policy.  Ask us if we contracted with your particular insurance company for direct payment.  A billing receipt can be provided at your request if we are not in-network.  Insurance not applicable for other services, including yoga and massage therapy, at our center.

Victim's Compensation
If you are seeking counseling for issues related to a crime that you experienced as a victim, then you may qualify for victim's compensation through the state of Florida.  We can assist you with verifying your eligibility and applying for victim's compensation that can cover counseling, medical, time-off from work, and other expenses related to the crime.
