Fees and Payment
Fees depend on type of service received, length of session, and insurance involvement. Sliding fee scale is available for counseling. Payment is due at time of service, unless other arrangements are made through insurance coverage (more information below). Since counseling is a time and financial commitment, it is important that you feel comfortable with the therapist you choose. In this regard, an initial phone consultation can be scheduled so that you may ask any questions before beginning the counseling process.
Method of Payment
Payment can be made in the form of cash, check (made payable to Monarch Therapy, LLC), and major credit cards-Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express.
Insurance
If you are interested in reimbursement from your insurance company, contact them directly regarding your plan's coverage and reimbursement policy. We are contracted in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida and Medicare for counseling services. A billing receipt can be provided at your request for other insurances. Please note that insurance companies typically require a mental health diagnosis to be assigned which remains part of your permanent medical record, and they may request all or part of your mental health record for payment purposes. Insurance not applicable for other services, including yoga and massage therapy, at our center.
Victim's Compensation
If you are seeking counseling for issues related to a crime that you experienced as a victim, then you may qualify for victim's compensation through the state of Florida. We can assist you with verifying your eligibility and applying for victim's compensation that can cover counseling, medical, time-off from work, and other expenses related to the crime.
